“God is in the business of strategically positioning us in the right place at the right time, but it’s up to us to see and seize those opportunities that are all around us all the time.”
— Mark Batterson
Dear Friend of Hiawatha,
Would you help us seize this opportunity in front of us today? In just a few short weeks, we must complete several major projects in order to pass inspection and receive our license. The timeline is tight, but we’ve already seen God move through His people in incredible ways.
Your gift, no matter the size, helps create a place where kids can encounter God in a life-changing way, just as they have at HYC for generations. This is more than a project—it’s ministry. It’s legacy. It’s impact. Together, we can make this happen.
Here is a list of the remaining projects along with the estimated cost for each one that must be taken care of this month.
Projected Budget Breakdown
Concrete additions: $20,000 (bathroom footings and slabs for two cabins)
Framing: $20,000 (bathroom additions, stage, sound booth)
Drywall: $25,000 (all interior cabins)
Flooring install: $10,000 (carpet tiles)
Paint: $5,000 (interior/exterior materials)
Vanity/sinks/counters: $5,000 (cabins, nurse's cabin, couple cabins)
Tubs/showers: $7,000
Excavation: $20,000 (two-lane driveway widening, stump removal, field leveling)
RV sites: $50,000 (septic field, roadway, gravel, land clearing)
Consumers Energy: $6,000 (new meter drop for increased power capacity)
Interior finishes: $10,000
Pole barn completion: $45,000 (additional payment)
Toilets: $2,700
Concrete backfill/underground lines: $9,000 (drain/water lines, trenching)
Septic engineer: $8,000 (county-required)
Plumbing for septic $50,000
Storm Damage Assessment: estimated $5,000 insurance deductible (minimum cost)
The mountain of expenses to complete this task seems pretty big and the time frame to make it happen is pretty small. But with your help we can seize this opportunity and make Miracle 2.0 a reality.
Sincerely,
Craig
