Dear Partner,

If you've seen any sort of news the past few days, it's possible you may have been exposed to some negative news.   If that’s the case, I have a letter today to balance that negativity filled with all good news.

Let me start by sharing they've begun work on the new Miracle Building.  They start early, end late and there's constantly a steady flow of large trucks going in and out and more cement trucks in one day than I've ever seen.

More good news, the pavilion is up, new doors are on 8 cabins, the interior of several cabins have been renovated and the sweet shop is looking better than ever with new lighting, ceiling tiles and exit doors.

These projects have all cost more money than originally thought.  You may have noticed gas prices have gone up considerably, we've had a water heater go out, the fire inspector requested different hardware for some cabin doors that cost around $700, yesterday we got news from the state inspector that we'll need to fix a minor problem with landscaping that may cost us another couple hundred dollars and today we found out the bus needs some repair work done.  I know you're thinking to yourself, "Craig, I thought you said this was going to be all good news."  I'm trying to practice James 1:2 that says, "consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of any kind."  Because of that I'm putting it down as good news.

THE BEST NEWS!!!!  5 kids have gotten saved these past two weeks.  I saw a young lady helping in our kitchen last week.  Her husband was sitting with me, and I shared how his wife left an indelible mark on me a year or so ago when I attended a baptism service that she was at.  Each time someone came out of the water after being baptized she would jump to her feet, applauding with a huge smile on her face.  God forgive me if I get more excited about building improvements or money raised than I do the five kids whose lives have been changed for eternity.

More good news....you get to help make it happen.  Thanks for your support in making all of these blessings a possibility here in the summer of 2022. Please keep us in your prayers these next four weeks.

Sincerely,

Craig
