WHO WE ARE: HYC is a non-denominational Christian Camp committed to introducing Christ to those who have yet to know Him, and training those in His family to serve in whatever capacity they are called.

OUR HISTORY: Founded in 1973, HYC has had the unique blessing of being led by Billy Walker for 48 years. The amazing commitment of Billy and wife Sharon has been seen in the lives of thousands of young people over the years.

In the summer of 2011, Billy retired from the position of Director and is succeeded by son Craig. Along with wife Lora and an active family consisting of Morgan, Mason, and Max,

Craig has a love for young people, exciting vision for the coming days, and a commitment to seeing the Kingdom positively impacted by the ministry of HYC.

UNIQUE LOCATION: Located on the shores of beautiful Piatt Lake in Eckerman, MI, HYC is one of the Upper Peninsula's most special places. Those who come to HYC quickly learn that the incredible creation of our awesome God is readily apparent at this special place just 50 miles over the Mackinac Bridge.

POWERFUL IMPACT: Pastors, missionaries, teachers, business leaders, Godly parents, quiet, humble servants of the Lord - these people are the legacy of HYC. In nearly every corner of the globe - from Thailand to China to Papau New Guinea and numerous points across America, HYC campers and staff alumni are serving the Lord!

LEADERSHIP: HYC is led by Director Craig Walker and a Board of Directors from numerous walks of life. The entire organization is committed to sound Biblical stewardship, accountability in all areas, and effective ministry to all those who attend camp programs.
